Track Name: Human Error
He sits there and washes his tubes
moving to the sound of a centrifuge
he answers their questions
without any questions
of how there could be any truth
without the spinning of a centrifuge
sitting home relaxing
denying his dissatisfaction

He conducted important studies
couldn't figure out why, only needed money
the one thing he knew and believed in was human error
He made up all of the data one day
knowing they believed everything he had to say
because all that they could afford was human error

They read it all in the paper one day
and from then on never saw things quite the same
because all that they really knew was human error
He gave up after initial trials
and no one questioned the contents of the vials
Track Name: Railroad Ave. Evening Out
Got too high to pass the time in bed
Can't stand still in the space within my head
Need somewhere to wander around more than anything
Pull out to the road, need a vehicle to bring me there

Walking through the grocery store
wondering if I should buy some more of
this or that, some other thing
unneeded but telling me otherwise
I dont even know anymore if the holes they fill
are plugged or spill to the floor
needing something different

Got too high to talk to anyone
long walks with a limp everyday at night for fun
feeling hungry that's what I tell myself
not knowing why we can't maintain our health

Walking through the grocery store
wondering if I should buy some more of
this or that, some other thing
unneeded but telling me otherwise
Glaciers gone, second growth trees
thousands and more anxieties that
come and go unknown as they please

Got too high to pass the time in bed
Can't stand still in the space within my head
Need somewhere to wander around more than anything
Pull out to the road, need a vehicle to bring me there
Track Name: Packaging Guilt
Casually throw away pieces of plastic
everyday everyone as a habit acts
We don't know where it goes but we know it goes
to that faraway place commonly abstract
Do it right every time, toss it in the bin
'cause that's where it goes, everybody know
Roll it out to the curb in whatever suburb
ritualistically saving the world again

As the leaves in the garden begin to wilt
I am full to the top with packaging guilt
As the toxins in the ground outnumber the silt
I am full to the top with packaging guilt

Casually throw away papers and glasses
everyday everyone passively reacts
We all know where it goes and it goes to show
all we care to do to cement the cracks
It doesn't matter which bin its a losing game
the colors don't show, the contents the same
Casually throw away hours and dollars and
everyday everyone pat each others back

As the leaves in the garden begin to wilt
I am full to the top with packaging guilt
As the toxins in the ground outnumber the silt
I am full to the top with packaging guilt
Track Name: Already Written
I read my parents to see
the story that's already written inside of me
I called but mom didn't hear
she was out looking for doctors to confirm her fear
We used to hide from Aunt Rose
afraid of her head, we were too young to know
Sometimes I just want to be
without the things already written inside of me

Pick up a pen to cross out and write again
Press on the keys, write out anxieties
Fill up the page; another empty phrase
Something inside or having to comply?
Track Name: Vegetative Propagation
I hope there's no insurance fee
for my lobotomy
why be aware
when I could be like beets or celery?
I do sincerely hope its free
like my vasectomy
Passenger pigeons in my head
still fly away from me

I want be a vegetable
Track Name: Natives & Invasives
Will a wall
appear at night outside my window?
Standing tall
to keep the truths from walking in.
A woman called
in tongues that sounded too familiar
feeling appalled
at glaring eyes and foreign skin.

The berries up and down the Mill Pond Road
are not where they're supposed to go
while goats who climb and plants that seed
are not where they're supposed to be.
The chemicals and their people who
can't think of other things to do
can't find the words or what to say
nor ever had the right words anyway
Track Name: Inconvenient
When it is inconvenient to care
millions with white eyes and empty minds
and nothing left to share with each other
looking away
thinking about the pleasures
they'll take back

At the end of the day we lie
and sleep through the hours unpaid
in our minds
dreams hold the hours we waste

They can't see the place
or really anything
but their own taste

We lie down
and sleep through the hours unpaid
in our minds
dreams hold the hours we waste
